I spent five fascinating years as a Graphic Artist at The Scotsman. Working to incredibly tight daily newspaper deadlines producing maps, charts, graphs and other infographics for the News, Sport and Business sections. In another role at The Scotsman, that of Designer on the paper's Special Reports desk, I was tasked with providing illustrations for magazines, supplements and adverts. In subsequent jobs, and in my work as a freelancer I have often called upon these same skills.
